I chose this picture because it shows how food, in this case through a picnic can bring more than just people who are close to us together. I found the quote while i was searching for pictures, it was written about a picture where many different nationalities were eating together. These people might not all know eachother but they are all brought together by something that everyone has in common.

an important foodway that is seriously represented in our community, that is the american community is the use of cakes and other sweets at birthdays and other celebrations. Americans all over the country eat some kind of sweet food during birthdays, most often cakes. Cake is almost always eaten at weddings too. oh and cake is super delicious but i dont think thats the reason most people eat it on special occasions, to be honest i think it has more to do with tradition than anything
