Hello ladies and gentleman. And welcome to FoodyFood by Josh. This will be my first post in a blog dedicated to something I like to call the "Global FoodyFood Lives". But to really understand that we need to know what a singular FoodyFood life is, therefore in this first post I am going to delve into one of my favorite meals and try to explain how the food in that meal can be used to describe some things about me. So I would say that my favorite meal of all time would probably be some smoked pork ribs with a baked potato and a coke. I am not sure why exactly I like that particular meal. I mean I think I like the general taste of ribs but what I really like is the way that I can eat them, I love being able to just rip a rib of the rack and tear into the meat. And the baked potato just really compliments the taste of the ribs, to be honest I have liked potatoes since I was a child. The first time I ever had this exact meal was when I went on a cruise with my family about three years ago. Honestly I am not sure what it reveals about my personality or my experiences. Perhaps it shows that because I love the taste of ribs on the grill that I am a fairly family oriented guy because I usually am only able to eat those at family BBQs. FoodyFood is supposed to be a way that we can find ways that our choices in food can be used to describe and represent certain parts of ourselves. So if you have anything you want to share go ahead and post it up, this blog is all about being able to write whatever you want( as long as its about food). Anyways talk to you guys next time.

  1. I would like to say I also had a tough time figuring out what my favorite meal had to do with who I am or my life experiences. I think I just like the way certain foods taste and that's the end of it.

  2. I think you were right about your meal choice indicating that you are a down to earth kinda of guy. I seem to relate BBQ with genuine, small town people and so by default I associate you with that. Also because BBQ is often associated with family gatherings and group dinners, I see how you drew that conclusion. Your meal sounds amazing and I definitely agree with why it's so great.

  3. I find it interesting that you mentioned on of the things you tend to like most about food isn't necessarily the taste, but more so how it is consumed. I've never really taken that aspect on food when considering my favorites and now that you have brought it up it really has made me realize, in a way, that many of my favorite meals are for the same reason.

  4. I love family barbeques and ribs! I believe a barbeque is not all about the foods that is being served but also about the interactions that people have with others... I personally love ribs and could eat ribs all day!

  5. Anything bbq is amazing! I am definitely going to say ribs are delicious, but for me anything bbq tastes amazing. All throughout summer thats all we do. And I think I will have to agree with you at first thought its hard to think of one thing that food shows as your personality. There is a lot of viewpoints on what it could mean, I think.

  6. I have to agree with the others that barbecues are amazing. I think it is very much the combination of the tasty food and the people. We'd often have smoked pork ribs at ours, and they were always one of my favorite parts of the meal. I have yet to find them over here, though.
